When you share a birthday month with your sister, you celebrate mid-month with a sister spa day.

There is no better spa in the Detroit area than Immerse Spa (https://mgmgranddetroit.mgmresorts.com/en/amenities/immerse-spa.html%3Fecid%3DMS_RG_SP_GGL_ED_RG_MD_010121), which is located at the MGM Grand.

We always make a day of it with massages in the morning and pedicures in the afternoon … and in between that we relax pool side and enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna.

Unfortunately the spa is still without food and beverage service, so I found a “work around” this visit that was absolutely perfect. I ordered Nosh Boxes from Thyme & Honey and packed a little bubbly, so my sister and I could enjoy lunch on the second level seating area.

Now there’s also food on the casino floor, but it’s honestly not that great, I don’t gamble and I doubt that they’d want to see me in running around there in my spa robe and slippers.

@justonebiteandsites tip: The spa is pricey, so if you are looking for the best deal possible, visit Mon. – Thurs., as their rates are less expensive on those particular days.
